Rainbow Gathering Transylvania 2014

What?

A Rainbow Gathering is an assembly of open-minded people who aresupporting and practicing the ideals of peace, love, respect, harmony, freedom and community. This is done through sharing and volunteering. Various workshops are held and all food is prepared in a communal kitchen. The festival is free of charge and funded through donations.

Its concept originated in 1972 in the U.S and developed until today, in several continents around the globe.

Where?

Luckily for us, the European Gathering of 2014 is being held only 72 km away from Cluj-Napoca, basically in our backyard. Although not easy to find on your own, if this sounds like something that might interest you, we can help you find your way.

When?

The timing of the festival is based on the lunar calendar, from new moon to new moon, which this year will happen from the 26^th of July until the 25^th of August. However, one may attend for as little as one day or the entire month.

What to take?

 From the discussions that we had with the people who stayed in our hostel before going to the European Rainbow Gathering, they were suggesting:

• tent with a water resistant cover and ground pad
• Sleeping bag, Musical instruments
• Food, water and drinks
• Bring something to share with the community
