2016 Rock Concerts and Festivals in Romania
Hell o, metalheads around the world! We know how important it is to know in advance about the concerts or festivals that will take place in the next year. Here is a list, that is going to be updated, once there will be announced new concerts or bands that will concert during festivals. For now, this is what Romanian Rock Scene has to offer:
23 January: at Quantiq Pub 2, Bucharest: DARK FUSION will release their new album;
28 January: at Rockstadt Braşov : ABBATH + HARAKIRI FOR THE SKY;
29 January: at Arenele Romane from Bucharest: Metalhead Alternative Rock Awards;
30 January: at Arenele Romane from Bucharest: Metalhead Awards (special guests: PRIMORDIAL);
4 February: at TY Events Hall from Bucharest and 5 February: Flying Circus Pub (?) from Cluj-Napoca: MGLA + PROCESSION + DREAD SOVEREIGN + ENTROPIA + MAZE;
11 February: at Club Control, Bucharest: VALERINNE + TAUUSK;
19 March: at Filarmonica Banatul fromTimişoara: THE DIRE STRAITS EXPERIENCE;
25-27 March: in Sighisoara: SIGHIŞOARA BLUES FESTIVAL;
3 April: at Arenele Romane, Bucharest: AMORPHIS;
4 April: at TY Event Hall, Bucharest: DEATH DTA + OBSCURA;
12 April: at Arenele Romane, Bucharest: ENSIFERUM;
3-5 June: at Arenele Romane, Bucharest: METALHEAD MEETING (Kreator, Eluveitie, Delain, Dragonforce, Rotting Christ and many more);
- 3 days pass (there won’t be tickets for just one day) can be found online at Rock4U or until the day of the festival, as follows:
- General Access Pass – 140 lei (until 1st of March 2016), 150 lei (until 15th of May 2016), 160 lei until the first festival day.
- Golden Circle Pass (in front of the stage) – 170 lei (until 1st of March 2016), 190 lei (until 15th of May 2016) and 200 lei until the first day of the festival.
21 June, in Piaţa Constituţiei from Bucharest: QUEEN;
1-2 July: at Arenele Romane, Bucharest: SHINE FESTIVAL (Subcarpaţi, Robin & The Backstabbers, Firma, Travka, Coma, Emil, Fameless etc.);
11-15 August: at Râşnov Citadel: ROCKSTADT EXTREME FEST – 
the only extrem metal festival in Romania. The bands announced until now are: My Dying Bride, Carach Angren, Excrementory Grindfuckers, Bucovina, Indian Fall, Parkway Drive, Insomnium, Alestorm, Cattle Decapitation, Tesseract, but there will be over 40 international bands that are to be announced in the near future.
Prices for a 4 day pass, depending on the purchased period, are as follows:
- from 28th December 2015 to 4th of March 2016: 190 lei;
- from 5th of March 2016 to 10th of July 2016: 220 lei;
- from 11th July 2016 until the festival: 250 lei
- VIP Ticket – Meet and greet: 300 lei
- Passes can also be purchased at Rock4U.
18-20 August: at Cetatea Alba Carolina from Alba Iulia: DARK BOMBASTIC EVENING (In The Woods, Draconian, Theodor Bastard, Dodheimsgard etc.);
7 October: at Fabrica Club, Bucharest: OLD GRAVE FEST (Archgoat, Castle, Hellsodomy etc.).
